In an exclusive clip, Lopez rehearses her hit song "Do It Well"

The residency kicks off on Dec. 30

When it comes to putting on an epic show, Jennifer Lopez sure can do it well!

The star is gearing up for her new Las Vegas residency show — and in a video that’s premiering exclusively with PEOPLE, Lopez offers a look at the grind that goes into perfecting her performance.

In the clip, the singer, 56, jokingly strikes some fierce poses while at rehearsals, and watches her dancers practice choreography for her fan-favorite 2007 song “Do It Well." The hit is set to be featured on Lopez's setlist for the first time in years.

“Go back a little bit, and let’s do it a little bit more elegantly,” she advises.

The video then features a montage of Lopez rehearsing her moves as “Do It Well” plays. The montage features a sneak peek at what’s to come, including elaborate set pieces, extravagant dances and more.

“She’s f---ing unbelievable,” a crew member tells the camera. “Who learns that in one day? You’re so good!”

At the end of the video, Lopez high fives her dancers and crew in celebration of a job well done, and jokes with the exhausted group that “it’ll get easier.”

“You’re amazing, all of you,” she says. “You feel accomplished, don’t you? You should.”

The “On the Floor” singer is set to launch Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace over New Year’s Eve week, with four performances on Dec. 30 and 31 and Jan. 2 and 3. She’ll also perform eight shows in March.

According to a press release, Lopez will sing “chart-topping hits from across her legendary career, alongside exclusive new ‘never heard before’ songs.”

The star’s latest Sin City stint comes several years after Jennifer Lopez: All I Have at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. She played 120 shows between 2016 and 2018, and grossed over $100 million.

Her most recent album This Is Me… Now came out in February 2024.

Lopez announced her new residency in May, shortly after hosting the 2025 American Music Awards (and pulling off an impressive eight outfit changes during the show).

“Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good, and I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time,” she told PEOPLE in May. "That’s always my goal.”
